This 8-piece Japanese-style kitchen knife set from ASC Forge pairs high-carbon steel blades with sleek black resin handles. Each blade has a laser-etched Damascus pattern, which gives a Damascus-style look rather than layered Damascus steel. The dark-on-dark styling fits modern USA kitchens well.
The knives are heat-treated and sharpened, with a 15-degree blade angle for fine cutting compared with the 20–25 degree edge on many Western knives. Every handle includes a finger guard for extra protection.
This set works as a housewarming gift, wedding gift, graduation gift, or holiday gift for a cook who likes a clean, dark look.
